Pastor Ted Smith

Since giving his life to Christian service, Ted has served as a missionary to the Philippines and in various pastoral roles with churches in Oklahoma and Texas over the past three decades.

With a passion is to exalt Christ, Ted’s heart is to make disciples through preaching and teaching the Scriptures, coaching and mentoring leaders, prayerful intercession, and encouraging the church to live on mission with Jesus.

In addition to serving First Christian Kaufman, Ted currently serves as Dean of Church Plant Schools for World Impact, an urban missions organization. He  also serves as Dean and instructor at The Evangel School of Leadership, a satellite campus of The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI), and as an adjunct professor at Dallas Christian College and City Vision University.

Pastor Ted holds a BA in Ministry and Leadership from Dallas Christian College, a MA in New Testament and Preaching from Johnson University, and a MA in Global Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. He and his wife Cindy “Claire” live in Rowlett, TX. They have three children and nine grandchildren.
